I painted these in a specific palette with the idea of them fitting in with a show room kitchen in 'Studio Green' by Farrow and Ball. They were painted in a season of stormy weather when I could not blot out the terrible weather we were experiencing with so many trees coming down in the woods a few metres from my home. I was aware of tree surgeons chains saws having to make the area safe and the eery sound of huge cracks of trees crashing to the floor. My paintings are abstract depictions of the sound of the wind, the tree felling and all the energy and movement outside during Storm Darragh.
