Sea Graffiti

Inspired by a trip to Kauai and Maui - islands of Hawaii. Remembering and recording the colours and shapes in and on the ocean, the beauty and tranquility, florescent colours of tropical fish in waters lit up and warmed by the sun. Experiencing the warm breeze that carried the scent of lush tropical flowering trees, on secluded, quiet islands where the people whole heartedly respect and treasure their surroundings and origins. I soaked it all in and came home to my studio where I painted it all out in several layers of colour, texture and gestural marks.
